You can visually differentiate white from red oak

@HALLETT & Co. Thank you...it all looks the same to me...here are some pictures...one is definitely white oak, one is definitely red oak, and one is...who knows. Can you tell the difference for me?? Plus, I shared a picture of the white product on two different samples, both of which are supposed to be white oak...number 4 is much pinker in person...

You seem to have a mix of solid and engineered wood? Biologically there is no ‘red oak’ and ‘white oak’, you can’t go to a nursery and buy a red oak, there are many species that we loosely clump together as white oak and many we call red so region to region, lumberyard to lumberyard the wood will be different.

@HALLETT & Co. All solid, though #3 does look like layers from the tongue edge on end. #3 is the weirdo sold as white but blushing through its stains. 1 =white 2=red. I cannot tell from end grains or rays, only tone. But I understand your point. Thank you for your knowledge.
