If you’re open to changing the ceiling light I’d get a different one. Even a hanging light could be nice. Do you have nightstand(s) planned? You’ll need a lamp there too. Then with your colors I think it looks lovely to have some living plants, or a bouquet of flowers (if you’re in this room and can enjoy them). Art on the walls; art is personal so go with something you like. I would not go too small on the frames unless you want to enhance more of a cottage style. Larger frames will look a bit more updated and work well with your headboard. Best of luck!

Remove the bench and the headboard. Purpose both for another bedroom.

Take advantage of the mid century style bureau and continue on with that theme.

cb2 has great choices for a mid century look flush mount ceiling light. (I'd go with the burnished brass).

What does the bed frame look like? If it isn't a metal frame, I'd remove the bed skirt. You should decide if you want a cottage/farmhouse look (bed/bench) or a mid-century vibe (dresser.) Once that decision is made you can move forward with the rest of the room.
