Elegant Candy - One of the few daylilies that does well in the shade here.

Elizabeth Hewitt hasn't been able to get well established because of the grubs. I hope it will do better this season.

Nancy, I like Electric Mist. Ed Brown never did well for me so it is long gone. Gave it many many chances.

Your quote about camping is probably true. The closest I will ever get to camping is staying at a Motel 6.

So many nice E daylilies--it's hard to pick favorites. Every time I see a picture of Exotic Starfish I tell myself I have to get that one--beautiful! I also like Eggplant Escapade and Emerald Starburst. English Lavender is also one that catches my eye. We tried to grow it but it didn't like our climate and finally died.

Ed Brown was always an under achiever for us, so he eventually went bye bye. Electric Mist didn't do well either so its fate was the same.

Here are some of our E's

Many of Tim Bell's intros don't do well for us (he's from Georgia), but Eyes of Faith has done well. It's registered as a late bloomer, but blooms a little earlier than that for us. I like the fact that the eye, instead of maroon, which you often see, is more of a soft violet.

Extreme Tangerine is one of ours. It's a hardy offspring of its not so hardy parent, Sea of Cinders. It's orange so, of course, it's a favorite here.

Elderberry Wine is a very good garden variety with a good scape and many buds. It's a mid-late bloomer here.

I love the color on Ebony Pools. It has been in the garden for many years.

Electric Snake is another example of my habit of taking a picture with an ugly background. That's our John Deere gator, without which we couldn't do what we do.

Entering Warp Speed has an interesting eye. The plant is on the small side though.

I am not a fan of polys unless they are spiders. This is Evermore Greatful, which is normally a large flower. I think it looks awkward as a poly.

Explosion in the Paint Factory is my last E. It's a late bloomer and no two flowers are alike.

I had Ed Brown for over 10 years and it did not multiply over 3 fans, did not bloom a lot but always rebloomed. The only reason I kept it, but it was on its way out. It added 6 fans over 2 years and bloomed a lot better, so it may stay a while longer.

I could not find my picture of Emerald Starburst, I like that one. My other favorites are Enchanting Esmerelfa, Egyptian Ibis, Elizabeth Hewitt, English Lavender and Electric Snake. Great clumps of El Desperado, Elegant Candy, and Entwined in the Vine.

Exotic Starfish, Electric snake, Entwined in the Vine, Eye on a String would all end up in my shopping cart if I could find them. I just shop locally so they all grow well for me here. Might not be the best selection but it is instant gratification.

Ellen Christine has a hard to capture yellow color and is not reliably double for me here yet in its second full year.

Ellis Powell looks great when the colors don't wash out. Hopefully, its finally established and we'll see more blooms like this.
