I would love advice on this. I know I’ve seen homes where they block off and frame around sump pumps and hvac systems as well as water heaters. I would have a lot of electrical and plumping expenses to move it all out the way to prepare for drywall and clean this up a bit. Would love to have a Pinterest inspired laundry room. But also just cleaned up so I’m not worried if my kids and cat come through here. Is it a bad idea to have an opening for these utilities such a bifolding door for the sump pump and electrical box. And an entire wall covering the water heater section with possibly two doors to open and access things. I’m worried there won’t be enough room for maintenance. We just recently had the water heater replaced due to leaking. It was extremely old but lasted a long time. Anyone attempted to cover up their utilities I would love to see pictures.
