Increase water pressure

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to increase the water pressure in my house. I was able to do it in the past, however, after a new backflow preventer was installed, I can't seem to figure it out. I would think that I would just need to turn the gold screw-like piece below, but that didn't seem to change anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

One can only increase the downstream pressure on a regulator if the upstream pressure is higher to start with. What are your upstream and downstream pressures?

@tyrellflurry I'm assuming the first question was really for me: You need to buy a gauge and screw it on to any hose type faucet. The one in the link is Home Depot but can be from Amazon also.

You can connect it outside, or the washing machine hookup or someplace else that has a hose connection. You take a reading when nobody is using water.

The issue here is determining if you have low water pressure (that you can potentially fix with the PRV) or if you have low flow. Let me know what the reading on the gauge is.
