My two cents is picking paint colors and talking gallery wall are second to buying new furniture. Your furniture is dated. If you want to do anything I would just paint the room. You can't really design a wet bar if you don't have the new furniture. It all should match. Save up for the furniture. Start with your biggest expense. Save up pick it out, and decide from there. Paints cheap.

@Beth - OP said the furniture is from the MLS listing. However, without seeing the pieces the OP has already purchased, we're in the dark about the direction to take with the spaces. If it were my house, I would convert the bar so the TV can go there. The floor plan looks like the kitchen was originally closed off from the family room and someone opened it up and added the pillars for support when the load bearing wall was removed. Open concept is not all it is cracked up to be, so you might want to return to the original plan. That will also give you more wall space for furniture in both rooms. Take photos with the furniture you're using now so we can see what your style is and make smart suggestions

Now its back! i hear what youre saying about missing puzzle pieces to help you help me! Let me update the images and put a board up with my furniture choices. And yes, open plan is a nightmare in this house - the smells go everywhere - esp upstairs, and sound travels fast. There’s no doors downstairs apart from the bathroom! 😑

Hi. I like the glowing walls. So I'll post soft palette which with current brick could be pretty, even with structure of pillars and tall walls- I don't mind.

Decor helps if toward transitional look, and with obviously current accessories, etc.
