We had a routine service done on our boiler yesterday, including two automatic air vents replaced, and one new thermostat. Today we discovered that we had no hot water, and a service call diagnosed a defective aquastat on our boilermate. Coincidence? The boilermate doesn’t look that old, and neither does the boiler or burner, according to the tech who was here yesterday. We just bought the house six months ago.
