I think round end tables would loos nice and soften the space.

The two tables you show us are very different styles & looks like a small stone (?) top with brass frame C table at other end of couch so yet another table style. Have you thought about a smaller scale coffee table for sofa with a style compatible end table between the chairs? If it’s a cabinet style table you have storage & it hides the lamp cords directly behind it. To hide lamp cords behind open tables, I run the cord down behind a leg, secure it with either a zip tie or a stick on museum wax then run cord straight back to wall, tuck under baseboard all the way down to plug in & last short length up the wall to the plug in..this does tidy the look of cords everywhere & helps keep people from tripping on them if walking behind furniture.

Not sure what that means but take pics of the space in brighter light and show more of the space all together . You for sure need more lighting.

The kitchen and family are connected. Design dilemma. The 2 chairs and sofa will not be able to be moved.

I agree with the suggestion for round matching tables on both sides of the couch and a solid table, like a small chest, between the chairs.

This is an old one I am looking to replace, but you get the idea. No problem with hiding cords. Or a small ottoman with an attractive tray on it might work as well.
