Would painting the eaves dark make it look too heavy for you? Here’s another pic from Pinterest. We painted our eves black to match our windows. It was a scary choice at the time, but it looks great. I’ve seen this a lot lately. I feel like it modernizes it a bit.

Wow, we hadn’t thought of painting them dark. That’s definitely something to consider. Looks great
