I did my first one in 2004 so that’s almost 20 years ago… and they are still popular. However, I do see them more often in kitchens that IMO don’t really benefit from the waterfall feature.

I love mine in my modern house with dramatic stone. I see lots of them that don’t make sense- boring materials or kitchens that are otherwise traditional.

I voted "yes," but I do think they look great and are appropriate in large, high-end, contemporary kitchens, especially if the ceiling height is high. Small kitchens or transitional or traditional or basic kitchens, not so much. I think they look good from a distance, where there is a lot of open space around them; otherwise, they don't seem organic to the design.

They are inappropriate to most designs, and end up badly planned, and executed cheaply and badly in most cases. Large, expensive, contemporary, homes, sure. With the right fabricator. The wrong fabricator is a complete waste of 12K.

Just be sure your designer places a nice duplex receptacle on it please.
