Yes, the review length cannot now exceed 254 characters. I agree that this is too short. Let me take a guess for this: HD reviews are read and approved by a person. HD may have decided that long reviews took took long to evaluate so it cut their maximum length.

I feel that we need both sites. I cannot expect Houzz to have reviews of every item sold at HD. And I need to know the nitty and the gritty.

I actually resent it if when I buy something from HD, L, or my local hardware store and I get a message like "How did you like your 3" 14-20 bolt?

Did you respond that you're wife would have preferred a 4" bolt. <lol>
