My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Replacement windows

Hi, I need to get a few windows replaced in my house (I live in CT). 6 double hung windows and 2 picture windows need to get replaced.

Got two quotes so for

1) Simonton 6500 windows ($8,000)

2) Pella 250 series ($11,500)

Both seem to offer similar warranties, low e glass, insulation. Is one brand better than the other in terms of quality/ service ?

Are these prices reasonable for the CT area ? Are there other brands I should be considering? Thanks for the help.
