Help please my kitchen

My kitchen cabinet maker painted the cabinets the wrong color white. They were supposed to be White Dove but they were painted them Chantilly Lace. There are many cabinets and they are already up on the walls and installed.
My quartzite countertop is going to be ready in a week and a half. They are Taj Mahal.
I’m hoping that the two will go well together. Very worried.
Chantilly Lace cabinets and Taj Mahal countertop’s.
I’m very upset with this whole ordeal. Does anyone have this combination in their kitchen? What do you think?

Some more photos of the BM Chantilly Lace cabinets and Taj Mahal countertop and the backsplash tile. What do you think? Does this all work?

The cabinets look beautiful- have you purchased the backsplash already?

I think you will like this better. I did a large sample of white dove and it takes on a green tone. Chantilly lace is a better choice

    Beautiful!!

Thank You 🙏 for the reassurance. I’m feeling much calmer about what happened. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise.
Yes I have purchased the backsplash. Everything is ordered and waiting to arrive.

It looks beautiful! Definitely a happy mistake.

I completely agree that the chantilly lace works much better than the white dove with your other finishes. In your photo, the taj mahal and backsplash (which are gorgeous together btw) to me have a very light taupe undertone. I am not sure, but I think they might have made the white dove paint look, as Beth put it, kind of a “dingy” yellow rather than a warm creamy white.

Please post an update once everything is done!

Thanks Rebunky I’m getting the idea that this worked out for the best. I won’t know until the countertop is on but I’m definitely feeling so much better already because of all of the positive comments. You’re all very helpful to me. What you stated in your comment and also Beth’s make sense to me. Thank you. I will definitely post when this project is all done.

I don't know White Dove enough to compare, but your combination looks great! The white in the cabinets seems to pick up the white shades in the quartzite very well without looking blah. I think the whole combination looks beautiful.

Beautiful! I love the crisp cabinets with the warmth of the quartzite - it brings life. Enjoy!

Do u find the Chantilly Lace makes your kitchen appear too white? Our designer is trying to convince us to go with a warmer white

I don't know "white dove" but I do like this.

(I do recommend not committing to the backsplash until you have the counters in and can be sure it goes. The counter is perfect, though.)

I also think it looks beautiful. I love the contrast between the cabinets and countertop, as well as between the cabinets and backsplash.

Thank You Jenn that’s exactly what I’m seeing now that I did know before. This was a good mistake that happened. I’m feeling very good about it now.

Agatha I looked over and researched many whites and bought large samples. I was afraid of a very white kitchen.
My home has all soft tones of creamy white as far as trims and doors. After thinking about and looking for weeks at samples I decided on the BM White Dove. I thought it would look great with my countertop and backsplash. But then as you read above the mistake happened and the cabinets were painted BM Chantilly Lace.
I was very upset and worried that the countertop and backsplash would be off and not look good together. But now I’ve been looking at it all day along with my other finishes that are warm like floors and handles and I like it because it balances everything out with the Chantilly Lace being brightening. It’s not a cool white.
The good thing about Chantilly Lace is that it has a totally neutral undertone. So that’s why it works with my warm finishes. It’s not clashing.
I feel so much better because of the comments helping me through this.

Thanks Fori that’s good advice but we ordered the backsplash tiles already. I’m hopeful that it will work. I’ve been looking all day and tonight with different lighting and it looks good so far.

    Beautiful “mistake“! It’s perfect.

I’m realizing that mistake’s are sometimes needed to realize what’s good. Thank You all.
I gave the cabinet maker a hard time before I posted the mistake on Houzz. It was a shock when it was realized. He felt horrible and was trying to find a solution. Possibly taking them down to bring back to the shop to be repainted. He’s going to be very happy that it turned out to be a beautiful mistake.

    Gorgeous. Yes…. “A beautiful mistake!”

My kitchen is completed. I have pictures posted in another discussion if you want to see. I’ll post a photo of the discussion so you can look for it.

@catlover Leo, Could you share what your backsplash is that you used and do you have a photo of it completed? I am looking for a backsplash that works well with Taj Mahal and white cabinets. Thank you!

    @Anita M
I took a screen shot of the backsplash info.

    Soho Studio Mayorka White.
I went to a local tile store to order the tile. It’s perfect with the Taj Mahal countertops.

Does the Taj Mahal have a little taupe/gray in it? It looks great in the picture! Are the cabinets stark white?
