Do you have an example? Usually it is border tile with a mural inside and depending how it is made could like like one piece.

Actually my friend has what I described over her antique range, but she can't remember where she got them. Tried to upload a picture I found but would not load. We will be getting Taj Mahal quartzite installed so I would prefer a simple accent complimenting; nothing elaborate. Only need one depending on the size.

I'm not sure if you want something with an image (like a tree) or something plain. If an image, try "art tile". And check out some of the artsy tile makers like Motawi and Pewabic. Most "art tile" can be installed as regular tile--check with manufacturer to be sure.

Are you talking about a fireback? Those are usually made of metal vs. ceramic.

Ah - I think those (above) are commonly called "centerpiece tile murals" or "tile wall plaques." You should be able to specify/filter results to only include options with 1-3 tiles if that's what you're looking for.

A custom-made, single, very large tile would require a large kiln for firing. Contact custom tile makers for referral help.

Custom ceramicist in you region might be an option? A feature can also be made of multiple tiles that are pre-mounted as one so easier installation into the field tile. Don't know where you are but we are involved with the tile artisan community, which is vast. Depending on what you are envisioning, likely someone can make it to your specifications. There are several online companies doing mural tiles.. you may want to look into those. I have also seen them on Etsy. Some allow you to use your own photo as well .
