There was quite a bit of information released back in 2019 when the invasive Plum Bud Gall Mite was discovered in Santa Clara county, but can't find any more recent info regarding this. Does anyone know of Plum or Pluot varieties that are not affected by this bug?
Info below is from a 2019 UCCE Santa Clara County document:
"• So far, almost all trees found with galls are plum, pluot, or a hybrid of these
• 32 plums/pluot varieties found with galls
• These mites love certain varieties
• Some trees with multiple grafts will have some varieties with the galls while
the other varieties won’t have any galls"
