My grandmother had a similar set of chairs and dining table probably purchased in the 1940's (is a guess on date). The chair back was a bit wider. I think it is called Danish or Scandinavian style.

The mid century modern style is "in" again and I think you would be able to price it higher than any ornate old stuff that you would find in the same age category nobody wants any more. Some people go Gaga for the MCM stuff now.

Thank you both! its a start. and I will do some more research. I am still hoping that someone with the exact same chair(s) will see this and know the manufacturer so ill have the correct name.

I Googled, Drexel Profile, 1930's and 1940's table and chairs, and similar chairs and tables came up. I'm assuming the table is marked Drexel Profile but not the chairs by your first post. I think the chairs and table are a set. The legs from what I can see have similar tapering as the table. Are the chairs not marked? Maybe the tags, if paper tags where removed when they were recovered at some point. I saw similar stuff on eBay, offer up going from a 5 piece set going for anywhere from $250-$2000. Chairs $100 each.

Just found this site for Drexel vintage

Keep in mind those prices are higher because they have been fully restored and not cheap if you pay someone to do that.

the table has the number and name Profile K40

but I don’t think the chairs are profile? Since no markings and can’t find them online.

Try taking a picture of the chair by itself with nothing else in the frame and do a Google image search. Try a few different angles and see what comes up.

The table and chair legs are so a like they look like a matched set. Maybe there was a paper tag on chair that was removed at some point. Maybe mark in covered by fabric on the underside? Or could have been a limited run of that particular style and chairs were not marked, only the tables.

Is there a model number on your table? Do you have 4 or more chairs (a full set)

there is no markings anywhere including underneath, nothing was under the cushion either when i checked. Table is K40 with numbers also for manufactured 3-57 (March 57’) if they marked all their pieces then if Drexel, it should of had it too?

this is what i found on the table The dining set was designed by John van Koert for the Drexel by Profile line.

The back and leg shape kinda looks like these. But these have 3 legs.

Whoa, maybe you want to see if you can get a furniture specialist to take a close look at the chairs. You never know. It looks like the Hans Wegner stuff used paper tags for their furniture, maybe Drexel did on their chair so they could have been removed at some.

    Looks just like mine

They are very nice, and they are petite. Are you sure you won't need something to eat at in your new home? You won't find more compact chairs! :)

OP- Do you live in Los Angeles by chance? We are looking for dining furniture!

New place only has a small kitchen area for a table and even with the leaf out of table it is 44” which will be too big. It’ll be time for this table and 4 chairs to go to a new home when I leave :). I’m in S. Texas now

How are you going to decide how to sell them? Will you try to get the most you can for them? That's a bit a dilemma that they are probably worth more than you thought they were. Or just find a "good home" for them that appreciates there worth and not paint them. I guess that's a dilemma for people who are downsizing and have things that others don't appreciate or have attachments to the things they are parting with.

I don't know what I would ask for them. Since you now know what you have you have a little leverage on price. Maybe $1,000 at a minimum but maybe more maybe less. I just don't know. Maybe a consignment store would be a better place to sell them or see it you have any stores that specialize in vintage furniture you could sell them to. Of course a vintage store you would sell to them at "wholesale" price because they have to make money. Some resale stores even specialize in MCM items. They may want to refinish/rehab/ upgrade finish, them so they have to figure that into what they are willing to pay.

You could also luck out and advertise on Facebook or nextdoor for someone looking for that style of furniture and willing to pay a reasonable price what ever that might be. But keep in mind that people shopping on Facebook could also be looking for stuff to buy and resell at a higher price ie; flippers. Also, having random people coming to your home is not a safe thing to do these days. If you do that make sure you have others with you and have them send a picture of their driver's license before you meet at minimum and send that picture to others so they know who you are meeting.

I've sold a few things on Craigslist but have whatever it is ready outside in front yard and have someone with me. Cash only of course.

Maybe knowing what they could be worth is a hassle because now you know they are probably worth more than you originally thought and don't want to be taken advantage of on price. You just have to figure out how much time you are willing to put into parting with.

On second thought you should ask for more considering how much they are asking for on some places I've seen online.
