Is all he advertising for "upright" catmint that doesn't flop a lie?
I've always had walkers low catmint, which I loved but I'd definitely prefer it to not flop open in the summer if that were an option.
I've read a lot of advertisements for "upright catmint that doesn't flop" like summer magic, cats meow, and purrsian blue, but I've been unable to confirm that they actually are more upright and less floppy in any reviews.
I've gone through a lot of houzz posts on catmint, but haven't really found anything conclusive. I'm planting a new garden this year and am planning on putting in quite a few catmint plants since they're so great for bees and butterflies. I'd love to find a kind that doesn't flop open, but I'm wondering if that's just a fantasy.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Also, does anyone have a recommendation for a brighter purple catmint? The catmint I've always grown has always been more of a silvery purple, which I like, but when driving a year or so ago, I went by a big group of catmint that was way more brightly purple than what I've grown (it was definitely catmint).
