The larger mirror would work in the same spot where the 30” mirror is shown. It’s hard to advise on other areas when you can’t see the whole space. A few tips…a mirror should reflect a beautiful object or view. They’re also great in an entryway…functional to check yourself before coming or going and they bounce light and enlarge the space, and can function like a window where needed as you know. I know you only asked about the mirror, so forgive me for overstepping the topic, but your sofa and poor plants are crammed on that wall and in that corner. Is there room to change the direction of sofa? If not, some c tables for your sofa would help. Maybe the plants could be grouped in front of the stationary glass panel in the slider. Hope this helps

IMO mirrors are best hung where thye reflect something worth seeing twice . I much prfer a piece of art in an entry and you could do one the same width as the console IMO but I think the larger mirror would not work as well. I just find art is abetter option even for making spaces feel alrger .

Thanks for the thoughtful comments. I've posted more pictures in counter clockwise of the home to give a better idea of the space. My entry has a big sliding mirror already. The sofa can't really be moved its specific. What's a C table? I love plants in the home and these are sort of positioned according to their light requirements. The home and space with plants is a bit bigger than the pictures make it look (the tall ceiling tends to give an illusion of a smaller width and length of rooms in photos). Open to any other suggestions you might have even if unrelated to the mirror (e.g. I know I need a new coffee table and I'd like to get a oversized area rug to dampen the echo in the home and make the living room feel like it's own space, also 2 new single accent chairs facing the sofa). The mirror will reflect my plants, the outside window, and perhaps a piece of art on the wall access from the TV. You'll get the best view when in the living room. The main goal is to give me more views of the outside I think.

You have a beautiful home and plants are a wonderful addition! It looks like you are using a very shallow console table as a landing spot for your plants beside the sofa. What if you moved that console table behind the sofa and topped it with houseplants whose growth habit is narrow and vertical or hang a vertical wall planter of air plants. They would get a lot of indirect light, which is what most houseplants like. You would then have a more intentional kind of green wall featured in your space rather than having them take up precious floor/table space here and there.

Oh…C tables help when there’s a lack of space at the end of a sofa.

IMHO a 48-in mirror is too big for that console

You have nice big uninterrupted walls in the living room and dining room. I would pick one wall and make that an art gallery wall (either the wall behind the couch or the wall behind the dining table), and for the other big wall, I would put one big art.
