Struggling on what to do for a vanity I was hoping to purchase a 72” to replace what is currently there without doing a custom cabinet but in order to put it flushed up against the wall near door the door frame is there and it wouldn’t be able to? I’m told I could order a vanity without the top and have a top templated so the end of the top would go to the wall without any gap (there would be a slight gap with wall and cabinet - I think I could live with that we just don’t want things to drop on the side and then it would be tough to get if not enough room) but that is an added expense to purchase separately for top and sinks I was trying to avoid. Do you have any other suggestion I can ask my installer to do to accommodate the install. I know I could go with a 60” and move it away from door a little I have the room just didn’t want to get something smaller.

The top templated is the way to go and honestly if you want help post pics of the whole space .If the top is templated right there will be no gap just atiny space filled with silicone.

Is the current vanity functional? Have you thought about keeping and just replacing the pulls and countertop?

Anyone who sells kitchen cabinets can also sell you a cabinet for your bathroom and they're better quality than what you can get online. I just bought two sink bases and a drawer section that I put together in my master bath last year for about $1,000. Mine was 84" wide. No matter what, you are going to have to have the top templated, and that will be more expensive than the cabinet, depending on what type of surface you choose. But I think the previous poster has a good point. The current one looks like it is in good shape, and at least it does have a center drawer section. Can you keep it?
