Shadow, you have a bunch of nice ones too… the color of Wishing Well is so soft! I planted a WW some years ago…. It dwindled to nothing, but a few years later another hosta that looks like Fragrant Blue grew, but it’s not FB, flower is different…..go figure! lol

Shadow great Wishing Well. It is easy to overlook the weeds with your lovely plants. I have sections just like that! It is reality sometimes.

Debra your World Cup is looking really good. White Dove will get bigger but it is a small. There seems to be little agreement on mature size, anywhere from 11"-21" in width. I will have to wait a few years to see where it lands for me.

Ann your Wheee! is looking good. Interesting that you are not as fond of it as others. It is a terrific name.

Lisa I really like your White Bikini. I hope it behaves itself. I am always struck by the beautiful soft light that your pics portray. Beyond lovely.

White Feather turns green in that streaker/messy way. It has similar origin to Outhouse Delight. That said, the spring show for the first 3-4 weeks of spring is worth it.

World Cup and Wave Runner

Utog, I tied my Waverunner up like yours is using a stick for support, but unfortunately a couple of the leaves broke, and one day it was lying flat like in the pic, stick gone, no idea who the culprit was! lololol I am sure it will come back fine, no damage to the crown……

peren.all - debra - White Christmas is a struggle that I'm about to give up. It is a slug magnet and has been devastated by them in the past. I put it in a pot smothered around with slug bait and Diatomaceous earth, renewed almost weekly. Not really worth the effort to me.

debra - I think you're right about Whee. I don't know where i got that but I have no record of buying a Whee - brain fart i guess.

Last hosta pic I have in the alphabet. This is Warwick Comet. Considering the number of times it has been dug up by squirrels and eaten by bunnies, it is looking okay and better than others (I am looking at you Lakeside Firefly).

Undertheoaks, how does white feather hold up for you? Yours looks way better than others I have seen and assume that you have it in near-full shade, no?

Mosswood, your Warwick Comet is wonderful. That was one of my early additions when I got really into hostas. I lost it in 2020 to cutworms and got a replacement last year. I hope it gets beautiful like yours one day.
Thank you RE White Feather. It was a mail-order gift from my MIL in 2019, from Amazon. I didn’t recognize the vendor, and the plant should up in a baggie of peat like you would expect for a bulb. I regarded it with suspicion and planted it in topsoil in a 3x3 plastic pot. It grows in part shade to shade. I move it to the front of the potted plants in spring, and then slide it to the back as it gets green. I often overlooked it from July onward and forgot to water it. I may have moved it to a bigger pot last year. I guess we’ll know in 1-2 months. Someone on this forum alerted me 1-2 years ago about the lovely springtime look of this plant, so I actually looked at it this spring and watched it change. So, thanks again and thanks to my MIL.

Well, I'm falling behind again. Lots of great Ws above so I'll (try to) keep it brief. War Paint new last year. It does turn all green, but then it looks like Niagara Falls - Win, win.

Waterslide flowers

Wave Runner is my favorite Hosta.

This is my 2nd Wave Runner in more sun while it looks a frosty lime green in the rain on May 28th.

It starts greener and ends more yellow with the multihued edges becoming more white in the sun. This is on Aug 3.

I could probably do a whole thread on this Hosta alone. Here's # 1 as it emerges a darker green.

Before the move on May 28th, I wanted to deal with this before it became a problem especially with those JMs in the area.

After the move. I think it will like the sun exposure better here but not the soil. On Aug 6th, it was growing in half day sun (full sun after 3:00ish). The blue tape is already starting to fall off.
