HVAC repairs are an on site in person job. It would be futile to guess... you've already done that and look where it's got you?

First rule to fixing this problem, is finding the problem. Attempting this from a forum board is a fool's errand 9 times out of 10. Maybe you get lucky and someone chimes in with the right guess.

Your options IMHO are to continue to guess or call for professional help that will cost money. Trane cost of ownership is higher than some other brands once out of mfg warranty period.

I would at least check that you have good connections to your board from your fan and from your fan to your capacitor. Should be tight and the wires crimped into connectors should not be loose. Confirm power is off first, and if you don’t know the dangers of touching a capacitor, even with the power off, please educate yourself before hand. In fact, make sure all connections on you board are tight and secure. If that doesn’t do it, I would call a reputable HVAC company to come take a look.

Sorry that you were the object of @Austin Air Companie's disdain because you sought troubleshooting help. Ray doesn't apply the "HVAC troubleshooting is an on-site, in-person task" notion uniformly. He often weighs in on requests for help troubleshooting. I guess he's clueless about furnace troubleshooting because he's in what he refers to as a "tropical-like climate" (IECC zone 2 ) and they don't have many furnaces there. If Ray refrained from commenting when he had nothing to offer on a thread they would be both more brief and contain more helpful information.

Yet the builder just comes here to pick verbal fights. That helps so much?

After 5 years HVAC in Chicago I moved to a hot climate not because I couldn't do heating LOL. I stopped counting furnace repairs / replacements at number 3. I can assure you it's well into the thousands. 28 years is a long time to do something wrong. The facts? let's not let those get in the way.

Before I started my own company, I had bosses like Charles who always claimed the problem to their success was me, they always had an argument for everything. That was roughly 14 years ago... turns out the problem was more them than me.

If Charles knew so much he would provide the helpful info rather than trying to pick forum board fights he never wins. Stick to building Charles, people need homes not arguments as to how my 28 year HVAC career is lacking in anyway shape or form. Stop trying to be something you're not.
