Hi folks. We have a 1969 Cape house that we purchased 10 years ago in New England. Joints have cracked over the years but it seems worse than ever this winter. I feel like every room needs some tlc. is this normal? My husband says to stop looking for problems. But I am concerned that something might be going on that is worse than dry weather.

In the photos, some of the trim has been taken off to measure for new windows and tacked back up for now. So I suppose the vertical cracks could have been from damage then that I am just noticing now. Thoughts? The ceiling cracks are in just about every room (upstairs and downstairs).
