Need a darker grout color for this floor tile?

Hi everyone.

I chose the Marazzi Montagna White Wash 24 x 6 inch porcelain floor tiles for my small bathroom re-model. We are going to have a very thin grout line.. and obviously want the tile to look as much like real wood as possible.

We originally purchased the Polyblend Non-sanded grout in the color "Bone" but I am now wondering if that is dark enough. I do not want it to be too light. I am including a link to the site that shows all of the grout colors. Do you think I need to go a different route?

Seems like bone would work fine...

I think bone would be just fine too. It will match the light streaks in the tile...blending seamlessly. If you're really not thrilled...a gray would blend well too.

You need to keep grout color as close to flooring color if you wish it to look like real wood.

Hi Ernv...I am thinking of buying this tile for my kitchen. Are you still happy with it? And did you go with the bone grout?

Hey Lauren!! I am still very happy with the tile, and the grout color has worked out well. The bone grout was a nice light color... It matched the lightest color of the tile, so it would work well for you if that's what you are going for! You could also go darker of that's what you prefer, but yes it has worked out quite well and it looks great!

I would go alittle darker , if you can't find a color you like on your chart go to other local suppliers for their grout chart because there are several grout manufacturers and all the colors are different

Hey Lauren! I don't use anything special to clean it as it's quite easy to care for. You don't need any sealants or special cleaners that I know of. I've read that a vinegar and hot water mixture is good, as well as regular household cleaners like Mr. Clean. Just make sure that you rinse after using the cleaning product. Hope this helps!!
