Sherry yes and no as you will see. Later leaves are more green but the originals keep the white. It does have quite a thin leaf so some years it gets hit by late frosts. Here are some more pics for you.

I only have a Y this is one I do love, it always seams prettier in person than in pictures.

Beth, your YR has such nice color, a bit darker green than others and the leaf points seem a bit more elongated! Really like that!

djacobz568.... I generally post only those photos of hostas that have grown well. I have quite a few more that have only grown so so.

I purchased my first hosta in 1988 from a road side stand that sold job-in plants as well as other roadside trinkets. The hosta was labeled sieboldiana and still have it. My last hosta purchase was in 2014 ( 3 holy mole).

I used to post a bit on the GardenWeb before Houzz but not very often. I had to change my "screen name" a couple of times due to their site upgrade.

I live in Vt zone 4a or 4b depending on the winter.

I'll break the ice on Xs with X-cellent. I wouldv'e bought this one even it didn't begin with X. I love Beilstein Hosta.

Yesterday's Memories - I bought this one hoping for a reverse Wave Runner. Perhaps it needs more direct sun, but it's starting to strut its stuff after 3 years in the garden.

Yosemite Valley starts turning yellow in early June

but really starts glowing in early July

and holds its own into early August. Planted in direct sun from about 9:00 - Noon.

And I picked up a Z last year, so it's not strutting yet, but I have high hopes for it. Zucchini Fries:

Almost forgot, I finally got my Yellow Polka Dot Bikini on last year. I always thought it was identical to Hanky Panky, but didn't look it last year. Not really fair to assess greenhouse stock against my yard so this year should tell a better tale.

Now I just need to go back and do the Tease to finish up.

Debra I looked up Yankee Blue and it is really lovely! I hope you left plenty of room for it.

Beth I can see why you love Yellow River! All the pics from everyone are terrific. It is clear why we all should all this one.

Steve you certainly jumped in with both feet when the Hosta bug hit. X-cellent is great looking and I look forward to seeing the progress of ZF. It is a good thing you appear to have plenty of room. They do grow lol!

Debra, I was pleased to see that you also have a Yankee Blue.

Peren.all, I got worried when you told Debra that she had better left plenty of room for it. I'd forgotten how big it could grow. But for now, no worries. I have it in a spin out bag. I'll just pull it out of the new raised bed and find another place for it!
