I have the same sofa in douglas ice, it's a lot lighter when its on a full sofa. I think it goes better with your other pieces. The other reads too gray.

I had this same exact debate a few years ago, and bought the Nickel because I have 2 young messy kids. I kind of wish I had gone with the ice though.

The Douglas ice is a nice match with the area rug pictured in your first photo whereas the nickel has a bit of a taupe/purple/brownish undertone.

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help. I have been trying to get a sample fo the Douglas ice but crate and barrel has been sold out of samples for months and I do not live near a store. If someone could send me an extra or unneeded one, I would happily pay for postage if needed and be very grateful.

There is another thread that has tons of comments and ppl who work for the store hard commented on it and sent samples. Personally I have seen nickel in the store and it has more green undertones. I would definitely go that direction. The ice is a light grey/taupe depending on the light. Good luck!

The ice reads white/light gray and not taupe at all. Took this at the store this morning.

We have the lounge sofa in Douglas nickel and notice it pulls violet undertones in our home, rather then green undertones.

What color did you go with? We just received the Douglas Nickel and I think it's looks like a dirty gray in our space and I'm not sure how I feel. I do have a sample of the Ice but afraid it's too light and too much like the sofa color in our other room. I saw the Ice in the store and it's really light. do you have a picture of the finished room?
