All normal boards. Some wane, sap wood, knots, all traits of cedar. The first pic has a little bit of strap damage that blackened the wood slightly and maybe should have been culled but overall definitely all normal. In fact it looks very nice.

I think the fence is fine, and you can power wash those darker spots if you really want to, however, I am definitely not impressed with the gate, and thats the part, I would want redone, so it fits properly.

Is that red or white cedar? Don’t blame you one bit for being fastidious about it. Fences are through-the-roof expensive, and they take up a lot of visual space.
