Color matched to cabinets or wall paint color. Your countertop has a lot of movement and different colors. Don't compete with it on your backsplash.

Maybe something that looks crafted to pick up the earthiness of the brick? Consider the size of the room and you already have the beautiful brick floor and a granite with a lot of movement — perhaps something that reflects that brick proportionally?

Try BM Revere Pewter, its a nuetral with a gray green look to it and goes well with white.

Paint the splash area the same color as the rest of the walls.

Tons of texture already--brick floor & Shaker cabinets & yet to be hung door & trim. More than enough pattern already--granite & floors.

Even the most sedate tile backsplash is going to push it over the top. More so because this is a small room. You can cram only so much into a small room. Too much & you get a circus.
