Looks like 2 water supply lines, one hit and one cold. The larger pipe is most likely the drain. From your description of your problem, I would highly suggest you hire a plumber to do this work.

Every once in a while, I can tell from the nature of the question that the poster is in over his head. This is the case here. You do not have the skills necessary to do this yourself. This is not a paint job; if you screw it up you could do thousands of dollars in damages. Get a plumber please.

Joseph and Julie gave you excellent advice...hire a plumber. You trying to pull on those supply lines could be a disaster. It won't cost you that much and your new home will be taken care of.

At least have a plumber install the shutoff valves on the supply lines.

Thanks for the advice, it is more complex than I thought, I'd hire a plumber to do this.
