    Sorry.

Couldn't figure out how to add photo to original message.

Thinking of adding two mirrors on either side of the floral arrangement.

Two mirrors will only make it busier and suggest trying to create a more layered look, with more variation of shapes and heights so it doesn’t feel lined up.

Best to work with trios of items. Unless a mirror will reflect something beautiful or interesting, art is a better choice.

Would mirrors without vases or one vase with 2 family photos (different sizes) work better? The mirrors would only reflect an interesting iron headboard. The mirrors are also iron and have a border similar to the dresser although they're not a part of the same furniture collection. Thanks for your help.

Styling is easier if you keep at it. For example, you felt first attempt was too busy, so you’ll know when it feels rIght/are happy. (I can’t tell you how often I redid my mantle and rearrange different surfaces).

Suggest one mirror, if the right proportions/balance. Don’t worry about what it reflects; there are very few mirrors that have the benefit of beauty/interest.

Hi Jinx, Thanks for all of the pictures. They're all great and give me ideas. I'm still leaning toward both mirrors as they are too heavy to mail back, but I can return the two white vases.

Do you need anything "functional" on the dresser? I would agree with the poster who said that groups of threes are better. I would def add a mirror.

My pleasure! I’m all for people getting creative and doing something unique.

Your mirrors are good-looking … nothing wrong with trying out your idea, living with it a bit, seeing if you like the look or want to change it.

For some reason, mirrors have a weird rep on this board … as if they aren’t ok unless they’re reflecting [something specific, but no one ever says what]. It’s a mystery to me. :D It’s repeated so often, it just seems to be a Houzz mantra now.

    Enjoy decorating. :)

If you don't like the two mirrors together, perhaps look for a spot for one elsewhere. You could even paint to suit the room, if necessary.

I agree with Jinx and could never figure out aversion to mirrors if not reflecting something “ideal”.
