Tha’s what I have, too, LED with adjustable color temprature. I think mine are 6”. Very happy with them. If you need more than 2, it would be pretty easy for an electrician to add more.

Here are my lights (sconces and ceiling lights both on dimmers) turned all the way up.

I think placement affects shadows more than anything. The LEDs in my bath are integrated bulbs and true flood lights, meaning it seems to fill the area with bright light. I haven’t noticed shadows but am still mid consruction. You should plan lighting in the mirror area that faces you to eliminate shadows there.

For starters, replace those old light fixtures with low profile light fixtures which will provide a lot more light. You can get simple ones at places like Costco and the big box stores for $20-40 each, and if you are at all handy you won't need an electrician. The wiring hookup is the same for LEDs as it is for what you now have and the fixtures can be mounted on the same ceiling boxes. As others have mentioned, having a sconce or two on the walls will help with overall light distribution and avoidance of shadows, but even simply replacing what you have will be a huge improvement.

Yes, I do have 2 sconces on either side of the vanity mirror. One of the shades broke, the replacement is arriving tomorrow. I'll post a photo afterwards. No mirror or vanity yet. Originally, there was 1 light on the ceiling. We added another to make 2 which is the 1st photo. The room now is bright and filled with light but-it doesn't look right when you look up.

Olychick, Integrated bulbs and true flood lights...fill the area with bright light! Sounds marvelous!! Might just do the trick. Oly, could you post a photo? Are these the same as can lights where a larger bulb is needed? Is the housing 6"

I can't post pics yet, it's still under construction.. There are no "bulbs" - the housing is the whole light, looks just like what Carrie posted. They replaced a center ceiling light and the electrician talked me into putting one in the shower and one over the toilet. It's SO much better (or will be) for seeing to clean. The center light was replaced by a combo light/fan/heater. The light is completely inadequate in that unit, so I am very thankful for the electrician's advice. I have 2 pendant lights over the vanity, as well. I think the electrician set the flood lights at 3000k (they are adjustable) which is plenty bright. I was worried because I'm trying to match blues in different tiles and thought I had nailed it, but when I was in a store with my selections in tow, they didn't come close to matching, I finally figured out it wast their lighting so needed to make sure the lights in the bathroom were right for the blues and he got it right.

There are a bunch of these, and on amazon.com. This needs 9" minimum from ceiling.
