I am in So Cal and I have a 2 year old tangerine tree. The main stalk is completely dead from about half way up. The upper branches are all dead. There is one branch further down that is still doing good & is blossoming. Should I cut the stalk down close to the part that is doing well? Will that encourage it to shoot more branches?
