I would put a large sectional in the corner, with a console table in that narrow space between the wall and the sofa. Then a large carpet, add a coffee table and two comfortable chairs…done.

The wall with the desk and picture looks like a spot where a fireplace might be. If that were the case, I think you might have placed the sofa under the window, opposite two chairs, and floated it all on an area rug. If you want to keep the TV in the room, I’d move the chest to the wall where the desk is and place the TV above. The niches on either side can have artwork or low shelving. I’d move the desk to another room entirely.
