I want to German schmear my fireplace to lighten and brighten it up and match the house better.
I’ve seen the traditional way of mixing mortar in a bucket and applying with the grout bag, but I also saw a YouTube who used the pink joint compound that dries white and it looked just as good! It seemed a lot less messy and time consuming.
My question is, if anyone has used the joint compound, how does it hold up?
Also any tips in general for this project. Thanks 😅
