I read sculptural is back in--so you might think again about swapping the couch. We can't see the window...but a rug with a nice large upholstered ottoman would add a lot.

Does room below resonate with your vision?

Here’s another photo and a sketch. I do like the picture you attached, but my husband is more traditional, and has not been keen on a white couch.

To feature your dad's art, I would paint the fireplace brick black or deep charcoal (Romabio) and furnish in a scandi farmhouse vibe. That would pick up the matting of the two pieces of art flanking the fireplace.and the chair would fit in well. Once the new furniture is in, lower art to 5" above pieces of furniture or 5' above the floor. Be sure a new rug is no less than 2 feet wider than the sofa. Consider two 3-seat sofas, rather than a sofa and love. People usually leave an empty seat between them anyway so they can turn to each other for conversation. I once had your big green sofa but switched for all chairs.

I love these ideas and this color scheme! Thank you!

I would go with some tribal rugs

I'd go for a dark-ish grey L shaped sofa with some rust colored pillows. And, add a large rug that pics up on those colors. Your husband's chair looks super comfy and I like your artwork. What about your lamps? They look a little like an afterthought and I'm wondering if you want to replace them with something matching.

Thanks. And, yes the lamps are part of the mish-mash and could use an update as well!
