I have very dark green cabinets and they also have "different moods" throughout the day...which I love. My green was all along a green/dark teal so for a little while during the day the blue tone comes out, and during the evening they sometimes look soft black. I don't have any tricks to bring out the green more, just sharing that it's how mine behaves also.

My sympathies. Been there too. In your photos, one looks green and one blue. It might not be what you wanted, but both look great - I love the floors and cabinets.

"They say" the color change would be because of purple. I wonder if the flooring, or your paint or counter has a wee whack of purple in it.

My only thoughts are experimenting with runners -or- some led lights in warm white and daylight color cause if either produced acceptable coloring, you could add some led tape hidden here and there to wash the cabinets or the flooring with a different color.

If it is the flooring, it might heal by itself as the floor gets to about 3-6 months old and the color settles a bit.

When you put that green sample next to the cabinets, are they actually the same color? Almost looks like they gave you the wrong color.

honestly there are many great things in your space...the wood on the tall doors the wood hood..the great counters..nice window w light and view ...big island and open space.....I thought the color chosen was nice initially in that it works well w everything.... / is a calm/cool shade not to be making any kind of statement. Is it so far off ? and do you think the island color is nearly as much a feature anyway as the other things going on? blue w wood tones is not an error in fact is a great mix see below...and you arent anywhere near an actual blue..just a slight shadowy effect maybe from being below counter. maybe accidentally you've ended up in a more desirable situation.... I'd leave it.

The only trick I know (besides very warm ie 2700k lights) is to accessorize with things that are even more blue, so the green comes out in comparison. A blue rug, for example - but I am guessing that blue touches isn't a way you really want to go.

I am also wondering if the sample and kitchen actually match… perhaps they messed up?

FYI, adding brass hardware will make the cabinets look even more blue.

Sorry, I am of no help as far as how to make it look more green beside what has already been suggested with lighting. Blue and yellow make green, so maybe more of a yellow light would help? Do you know what the paint color is called? Is that fantasy brown on the countertops?

I really love that green color in the nighttime photo. But, then the daylight blue color looks beautiful too! What a shame you weren’t shown the paint sample colors in the natural daylight. It is strange that you had to chose at night with only those bright construction lights glaring on the sample. I know colors shift at different times of day and night, and you want it to look good at all times. But during the day would have been the most important to me to get the color right.

Btw, that wood cabinetry and floor is just stunning!

RE sample and actual not matching - check to be sure that the painter didn't get his paint from another manufacturer/brand store, one that perhaps used a different enough base to affect the color, or had paint with the same name but not same tones. I have had each of these happen to me (different painters). I could see the difference, but neither of the painters could (they said!)

Lighting is EVERYTHING. I once decided to paint my bedroom the same light yellow as my TV room. Upstairs it looked pink. I took the paint stick downstairs and it matched!

That said, if you could take that green sample and put it next to yours, does it turn blue?

The sample board I have even looks blue during the day! Even at night it looks more blue than it did. I think it has something to do with the floors and paint color and daylight all combined. The cabinets definitely look more green at night. Also, the countertops are called “river blue” and are dolomite! Very similar to fantasy brown but have less brown in them.

Well, i hope changing the lighting helps, but otherwise hope you can see how beautiful it is, even if it's not what you planned.

Ok yes, I looked up some images of the River Blue, and it does look quite similar to some fantasy brown I have seen. Both are super pretty!

Fantasy brown can vary in color quite a lot. For instance, here are two slabs at my stone yard right now. I definitely see greens in this first one.

Although this one, I just see light bluish grey.

Does your stone have any little hints of green mixed in it at all? I am not saying that it has to have green in order to go well with the green cabinets. But if it did, that would be nice.

Can you maybe post a picture showing more of the colors in your countertops? I know I would be pretty upset if I thought I was getting green cabinets and got blueish grey instead.

I almost think I see a hint of the green trying to show its pretty face on that corner cabinet in this picture. Do you see any of the green during the day in real life? Or is it only when it is totally dark outside and you have the overhead lights on that you can see it? If I am understanding correctly, even at night you mostly see blue, but a maybe just a tad more green then in the day? Can we see a picture at night too? This is driving me a little crazy, so I can only imagine how you must feel!!! 😤🤪 🤪
