Window Treatment/Table Help

We have this odd hallway at the top of the stairs in our house- it doesn't lead to anything but a window. We currently have two chairs and picture up (one with lady's back facing you). Around the corner is another picture (lady standing up). Trying to figure out a good table to put under the picture and window treatment suggestions.

Pictures attached include:
1. Shot from stairs of two chairs and picture
2. Fabric on chairs
3. Picture in between chairs with lady's back facing you
4. Picture around corner with lady standing up (can't see both at the same time unless you're standing at the corner)

Suggestions welcome! We like the artwork and chairs, and don't really want to change them- but want to add more to make it feel finished!

I would choose a champagne colour in a semi sheer cascading to the floor to give a feeling of lightness and elegance to compliment the dress of the lady . for the table a half moon would look nice it gives finesse and curves to the feminine art.

I really like those chairs, especially the fabric. But the style just looks too stiff and formal, not romantic enough with your beautiful art. I recommend one plush chair in the corner, fully upholstered with a table and lamp and a traditional accessory (small glass sculpture or ceramic figurine, etc).

I agree with both of the above ideas...the art is beautiful...so romantic...I'd like to see more romantic chairs too...but if not in the budget you can do as PH suggests and drape a romantic throw over the other.

beautiful art!
i would also do a soft champagne color on the windows. flowing sheers for preference, since privacy isn't really needed in an upper hallway.
and i don't mind the "stiffness" of the chairs. you could do a skirted or table-clothed table in between them to bring some softness in.

Table should be 25% wider than the art so you might look for one to go under the vertical painting. An adequate table for the large piece would push the chairs down the stairs. You may have to switch walls to bring it off. You need a great feminine chandelier and lamp to compliment these two ladies and a unifying color for the entire space so the girls can take center stage. Be sure to paint outlets and receptacles to match. Don't know where doors are but the chairs might need to flank the window. Here are some Femme Fatale lights to consider. They're quite feminine and artistic in themselves.

I feel a satin-metallic petite pirouette would soften that window while still giving you some protection for your painting from UV, looks too busy with the 2" blind look. The petite pirouette gives you a 4" option in vanes and has a nice selection of fabrics that I'm would compliment the chairs.

I love Genevieve's suggestions and could not see anything else but her idea. I thought the fabric on your chairs stunning but the chair itself more cold and so softness and a delicate look is needed.
