Need help choosing gas range!!

Sorry already asked this question just a few hours ago about which range to choose and which one looks more high end. I’m now down to two choices: bertazzoni and kitchenaid. My husband is for kitchenaid because it has features like controlling it from phone app and I’m leaning more towards bertazzoni because of clean lines, simplicity and I love the look of legs and how convenient it would be to clean underneath with roomba. Which one do you think looks better?
Thanks!

How many burners do you want? You’re not comparing apples to apples.

Where do you live and are there many people who service Bertazzoni? I have heard that access to repair can be a challenge in some areas. We just moved to a place in Manhattan with an existing Bertazzoni. It was purchased by former owners who never cooked in it once so we are the first to use it. The temperature is quite off, though I haven't looked to see if that is something I can easily fix. I do love being able to clean under there with such ease.

In what instances would your husband use a phone app for a range? Honestly, I can never imagine making use of that but perhaps it would be useful to him.

Consumer Reports tested the Kitchenaid KFGC500* ($3,960) range. It achieved a score of 42 out of 100 and was not a recommended appliance. The LG LSGL6337F ($2,200) achieved a score of 82, and 96% and 93% owners reporting at Home Depot and Best Buy would buy it again.

The Bertazzoni of course looks better. Is it a better range? I dunno. But the Berta is going to be prettier than just about anything else out there.

(Does this model come in color? Colored Bertas are as good as it gets. As far as appearances go, anyway!)

Colored Blue Stars are gorgeous too. That was my last range. They certainly are not phone app accessible. There is nothing digital or electronic on them, which I loved. It was especially great during covid because there are easy videos online about how to take the unit apart yourself for repairs or adjustment. I'm not a mechanical person at all but figure out how to do it. Rather empowering fixing your own range!

Make sure that you have someone lined up before you buy a Bertazzoni. My Italian range (not a Berta) needed to be calibrated for accurate temperature. While my oven is simple and it was a manual process...most repair/service guys don't even want to touch an Italian range. Yes, I absolutely love my range and it performs very well!

I love my Bert but I also love my KA wall ovens . I like certain things baked in a gas oven so the Bert is great for that the KA wall ovens are electric convection and I love that. I hate a bunch of electronics in any appliance and honestly why does anyone need a phone app for a range. Remember if the Bert is all gas then no self cleaning oven so really think about how you cook and clean. I have had my Bert for 15 yrs I run a catering biz from my home so it gets used and not one service call and honestly if a repair guy does not know how to fix a gas range no matter where it comes from then he needs to go back to school. Gas ranges will last virtually forever I bought a 40+ yr old Garland commercial range it is in my out door kitchen cost me$200 and a few bucks in repairs has now been working at my place for 15 yrs.

Patricia, I am encouraged to hear that your Bert has done so well. I hope mine follow in your footsteps.

Laughing at the desire for an app. Have you told him there isn't a camera in the oven?

Watch out if you are buying the Bertazonni Heritage range. It makes a horrible whistling sound. Go to the Facebook page for Bertazonni and I have posted tons of videos of my range (they will probably be deleting them soon though as I point out the awful sound.

They will not address it. the holes are too small for the high speed of the range so it sounds like you are in a Nor-easter storm. It is headache producing.

Thank you, is that a problem particularily of heritage line? This one is 30’ master dual fuel range.

@Greta Bob I can not say if the others do it but you should make sure they don't before you buy.
