The photo does not show the metal grid properly. It’s a light metallic gold finish and a pattern leaning towards Moroccan.

A wine cabinet? It's cute! I think it would look great with leaded glass -- particularly a grape pattern. If you want to stick with a Spanish influence you can try an image search for ideas, but that will show mostly ornate iron works. Your door is paneled so not exactly engineered for that look.

I am sorry but to me it looks like a cheap screen door. The design seems too simple to hint at Moroccan.

I think the look of wine bottles is attractive so I am wondering if you could add one of two decor items--a coffee table-type wine book and maybe some lovely vintage glass graps (like occasionally seen on One King's Lane)--to the display.

Could we see the cabinet with the door fully open?

Well, kinda admit it looks a couple steps above cheap. We have a lot of wine so no room for added accessories.

I apologize for my hurtful choice of word, Kathy. It probably does look better in person. What goes in empty shelf? Do you have enough wine to fill all the spaces or do you routinely have any empty spaces? Is there any room between the bottle and the door when the door is closed?

It not the best set up but the only place in our home to store wine. This was a small closet.

If other idea come this way I can return the iron rack.
I thought about putting some nail heads on the door.

I wondered about that too. But the closet is off the garage next to a bathroom. We thought the bottles would need to be dusted more often. Even though we go through them pretty fast.

I would just get rid of the door and leave it open.

Have you looked at wine fridges they come in all kinds of sizes and the best is they store wine at the proper temp so worth having lots on hand .

We would love a wine fridge but nothing fits.

I think the problems is that the large pattern of the bottle X's draws attention away from the small screen pattern rather than the small pattern commanding the attention. If you painted the X's dark so they blended with the cabinet, the screen would once again be star, but idk if that's what you want. I think you need to decide if you want the door or the wine to be the focus, but as is, I don't think you can have both.

With your house style, I think wrought iron would look good, too.
