I'd put the love seat and Sofa opposit wach other and the chair in front of the windows where the loveseat is now. ... if you need a floor lamp for the chair, add it.

I would put a large ottoman/table in front of the chair.

I would put end tables with drawers on either side of the sofa and tall lamps on each, to add some height to the wall. a large art piece above the sofa. And flank the windows with drapery panels, stacked back for some texture to the room.

Maybe a trunk style coffee table or an actual old trunk, especially since it's a less formal room.

This is after the fact, but I wish you had posted a photo of the room before you spent money on furniture. This is not meant to be an insult at all, but is there any chance you can return the loveseat for another armchair and coffee table?

The pieces look like nice pieces, but it’s very matchy matchy, which is usually not great. I’d personally remove the chair and either return it if you can, sell it or use somewhere else in the house. I’d keep the couch and loveseat in an L configuration with a round pedestal table between them. I’d find an accent chairs in a pattern or color to use in the room, and then I’d add in a coffee table, floor lamp table lamp, pillows and art. I think you need to get the seating figured out first.

Can you return the loveseat for a pair of armchairs and use that armchair in a bedroom? Loveseats are boogers to design around and rarely seat more than one unless you have a pair of lovebirds in the home.

Thank you everyone for your advice!I am not really interested in losing the chair at this time but was just looking to add dimensions and visual interest with accent pieces...your pictures and suggestions beverlyFLADeziner were most helpful!is it ok to have so many different color woods in the room (the bookshelves are dark grey stain, the floors are jacobean and the lighter coffee table color in your picture)?

Room looks dull. I would bring some color. Side tables not necessary matching to coffer table.
