Typical 1970’s rancher with the orange brick. Metal roof and windows are 5 years old. New black gutters/downspouts and front door installed last summer. Removed all the dead bushes from the front and did a rock bed in front of the brick.

Now to decide:

1. Color for the front door. Leaning heavily toward SW Peppercorn or Tricorn Black?
2. Remove shutters from the area that is siding? Maybe help balance with garage door by not having shutters by those windows?
3. Replace the remaining shutters with cedar painted or stained an espresso color OR no shutters at all? New cedar shutters would be wider than current shutters
4. Low maintenance and small size landscaping in front of the siding portion of the house? Thinking Lambs ear or dusty miller? Thought about hydrangea or azalea but really don’t want anything that will get that large. Would like to keep height no more than 24-30” tall.
5. Potted plants beside the bench and maybe some sort of metal work above the bench?

Had thought about painting the brick, but have decided that is a no go.
Lawn is getting some much needed help now that spring has sprung and when the pollen count goes down some. 😄
