if you need light there, I'd just do another can. you already have the hole and wiring. just get a retrofit recessed light that matches the others and install it. can your other half do it? shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

doing a flush mount fixture is bascially the same wiring as a can. but w/the flushmount all alone w/nothing under it, it might look odd in that spot. if that's what you want, just get a low profile flush mount disc type of light and call it a day.

while you're at it, replace the boob light in the entryway
