I can't comment on the price directly, but Marvin is a premium brand with great quality windows.

Look into your "large round tops" - there is the money.

You mentioned that this Marvin dealer has a great reputation and installers and you also mentioned that other window companies don't even respond to your inquiries - I think you have already found the company you should go with.

And sliding patio doors are also really expensive by themselves, so that ups your cost in addition to the arched windows.

Right in line…we had 27 windows/doors replaced last year and it was roughly $40k….

@Sam Elizabeth - yes, we’re happy with the installation - though our carpenter did the install and hindsight being 20/20, I would have had the window company install them - just because the window guys would have known all the in’s & out’s of the windows, where the carpenter had to guess a couple times.

That pricing is below average in today's environment, certainly not insane. The door and round tops are pricey as has been alluded to, and if this is a full frame install that would make it even lower on the spectrum. Where did your other quotes come in?

Seems reasonable. In mid/2020 - early 2021 we replaced 18 double hung, 3 casement, 1 round top and 1 sliding patio door with mostly Marvin Elevate (the 2 garage windows were Essential) for ~$40K. Due to the cost we replaced half in mid 2020 and the other half in March 2021. This was before the worst of the supply chain issues started and prices started increasing. We are very happy and feel it was money well spent.

I’m waiting on a Marvin ultimate quote for 36 double hung windows. I know it’s a different line but I’ll try to remember to let you know what it ends up being. Always nice to compare real numbers

We changed 18 double hung Anderson and three basement windows in 2018 and it was $38,000. So I’d say your quote is in line.

He said he’s been working there for 30 years and always had one price increase a year. Except for the last couple of years there have been price increases from Marvin multiple times in a year. This year has already seen three he said. 😩

Even the lousy manufacturers have had massive price increases unfortunately.

It's weird. It's like the last 14-15 months...stuff has really be going up fast.

I am retired now and was working in the 80's (the last time as quoted in the economic report yesterday that the CPI and inflation numbers were this high). Quotes were only good for 24 hours! We were all selling like someone we know (maybe RBA?). Feel badly for the consumer but they are seeing it in everything they purchase.
