Looks like you bleached the color out of the wood, so the finish is toast.

We did not bleach it but used a wood cleaner. May be it was strong. Anything we can do to restore?

Maybe a stain marker that matches as close as possible and a little polyurethane. That's about all you can do I am afraid.

What wood cleaner did you use?

If the finish is gone on that spot, you can take a fresh nut like a walnut or other oily nut and break it in half, then rub the broken side against the raw wood. It might color it enough that it's not as noticeable. The nut trick is a more subtle fix than most commercial colorants. Try it on a tiny spot to see if it works before doing the whole area.

Try using a scrubbing brush with a little mineral spirit or goof off. Then wipe it clean with a dry rag. If, that doesn't work, sand and recoat. The color of your floor finish is fairly simple to match.

I've used a stain marker on my hardwoods. They work ok. Not great, but better than nothing in some spots, particularly if the gouge is deep.
