Shutter Advice Needed

Hi all. Need shutter advice for our home. We are trying to update the look and recently removed the black shutters that were very old and cracked and needed replacing. My question is...do we put shutters back up everywhere (I was thinking dark brown to match garage doors). Do we put them on just the front of the house? If so, what kind? We also removed the lamp post. TIA!

Working on a more modern landscaping plan would have more impact than shutters.

I also vote for shutters, but only on the single width windows. As far as style, it depends on your front door and your garage door. Are they the colonial panel style?

I think shutters are right for your house. If you're going to replace existing shutters I suggest you get custom wood shutters that are appropriately sized and attached with authentic hardware.
