Why no hot water

Practically overnight I can't get hot water out of my fixtures (sinks or bath). Cold water works just fine. I'm hoping for help here as being out in the middle of the country it is very costly to bring in a plumber from nearby towns. Any help really appreciated.
Note: I don't mean that water coming out is just not hot, I mean water is not coming out at all!

Have you been getting progressively lower water flow on the hot side?

When was the last time you purged/flushed your water heater?

How old is your hot water heater? Based on the fact that you're on well water, I'd guess sediment/limescale buildup clogging your water line. You can try flushing the hot water heater first see here: https://americanhomewater.com/water-heater-flush/ But depending on how bad the stuff is that comes out, you may need to replace the heater.
