I like the tile size you showed us and can imagine that in the laundry area.
Craig is less convinced on the tile size and wonders if the smaller pattern might be too "busy". But If I show him an example to scale and imagine how it would look with the appliances and a rug, it would not be an issue.
The only thing I might want to change would be a lighter, more subtle color variation on the individual tiles.
