Wow, Ed they look really nice. I notice the ones in pots look more mature than the ones in the ground. Have you had luck with those in the ground? Where are you?

I'm in the DFW area and the few I have are just leafing out. We had a late winter, so my hosta didn't go down until December. Then, we had a late spring, so they are just now leafing out.

Ed, everything looks great. My potted hostas always emerge a couple weeks before their planted peers, even when they are the same named plant. I am so glad that I bought Frozen Margarita last year; yours looks beautiful! Could the little NOID be Penny Lane or Pilgrim?

bkay2000 - I am about 15 miles from Jackson, MS, so I basically have the same weather you do. The plants in the beds are from pots that I had left over from last year and a couple that I bought at a local yard and garden center this year. I have great luck with certain types in the ground, but a lot of them don't do that well. I have had great luck with Stained Glass, Guacamole, and Halcyon in the ground.

undertheoaksgardener7b - I had never heard of Frozen Margarita and saw it at Lowe's last year. I think I bought it for $9.99 and it has done great. I don't think I have Penny Lane, but it could be Pilgrim. I will do some more checking on that.
