Sectional recommendations

Hi, looking for a fairly large sectional for family room and I like RH Modena so far. COCOCO home does similar custom styles at half the price. Any experiences to share for either for both quality & comfort? Is it worth splurging on RH? first pic is cococo & second from RH.

No, it is not worth "splurging" on RH. All you are splurging on is their High end marketing. Before spending so much money, study up on upolstery construction and make sure you are getting appropriate quality for your dollar. In past years most of RH upholstery has been made in China, so I would check on where anything I order from them is made. Not sure where you are located, but it's best to try and get something made in the US. It looks as though Cococo is made in the US. Plus you are not paying for all those doorstops that RH mails to folks twice a year. I've been trying to get them to stop mailing me their 8 lb catalogs full of moody b&w shots of their "creators" twice a year. Those doorstops can't be cheap.

It might be worth it for you to price out a few other NC manufacturers. Goods Home Furnishings comes to mind, there are several others.

A lot of people don’t like RH - I do. I find their products to be great, my whole house is basically furnished in RH and everything still looks great years later. Keep in mind our kids are grown and I don’t allow my dog on the couches…I don’t know that I would have spent the money if I had little kids. However I would advise against a bench sofa of any brand, they tend to sag after use and there’s no way to refluff them. Better off with individual cushions.

There are plenty of upholstery brands that would be a "splurge" that I would personally choose before RH. I used this blog (not mine) post as a jumping point to find some really good quality made in the USA upholstery brands. I recently placed an order with Taylor King and was also seriously considering King Hickory and Hickory White.

These seem somewhat similar in styling to what you show (wide track arms, deep seats, etc). Check the spec tear sheets because you often have lots of options in terms of different arms, depths, feet, etc.
