Does it have latches? Most false fronts are secured with a latching system that will allow you to pull it off and have complete access to replacing your pulls.

Hopefully that works!. If you need to access the back for leverage, use a long flathead screw driver to help you hold open the top tab. I usually need to shimmy the false drawer front while I’m prying open the top tab (pry the top corners a little, then the bottom corners a little).
