depends on what the point of the stone is ...

if you didnt plant it.. then it free seeded there.. and do you want more seedlings next year ... someone paid a lot of money to put that pretty white stone down... why oet any plant cover it????

if not.. dig it up right now ..or as soon as you get an ID ...

Looks to be a crane's bill/hardy geranium. I'd guess Geranium carolinianum.

well is it a valuable geranium.. or a weed geranium ... i looked up images.. and without scale.. they look pretty small???
